to search the skies from great heights,
to look down upon the flattened earth
while his aeroplane bears him where his whim directs,
to awaken to the throbbing of the motor and the song of the propeller.

who may not taste it's delights.

Visa & MasterCarDeveloped by an all-star team of engineers, the Stearman was the primary
military trainer in early 1940. Sturdy and rugged, the PT-17 as it was
called, was built in greater quantity than any other American biplane.
Its handsome, well-proportioned outlines led one Stearman veteran to
refer to it as the "Gentlemen" of all aircraft.
As military aircraft became more sophisticated, a need arose to develop
more modern trainers, and the Stearman was released from military
service in the late 1940’s. What could have spelled the end actually became a new life for this
legendary aircraft. Visiting small town country fairs, the Stearman
barnstormed its way into aeronautical history. During the 1950's, the
plane was used in a more functional manner as as a crop duster in the
agricultural industry. Regal, nostalgic and loyal, the Stearman is one of the finest example
of American aircraft engineering. So strap on your leather helmet and
tighten up your goggles. Climb on board the mighty Stearman and
experience a piece of aviation history! For further information or to schedule a flight please call or air mail us at:
